Dr. Martin Marianovicz, Private clinic Jägerwinkel

How did you get to know moving?
I got to know moving about the rehab clinic Jägerwinkel and I think moving is a brilliant idea. It is practicable for everyone and can be carried out independently in the morning. I believe that this is the right way for our polluted society to get better back health.

What are the main problems of the spine?
We have three main problems - one is the nutrition of the intervertebral discs, the second is that the musculature is always atrophied when it is immobilized for a long time and the third is that it comes through long sitting, so by forced postures, to block the joints.

How does moving affect these problems?
Frequent, even gentle, movement nourishes the intervertebral discs and keeps them healthy, prevents atrophy of the muscles and blockages of the vertebral joints. Moving thus prevents an increased load on the spine, thus the wear and in the long term an arthrosis of the spine

"Frequent, even gentle, movement nourishes the intervertebral discs and keeps them healthy, prevents atrophy of the muscles and blockages of the vertebral joints.

Dr. med. Petra Blum,  Naturopathy

How does moving affect the back muscles and the intervertebral discs?

By sitting a long time, the intervertebral discs are concentrated more and more and less nutritionally. Furthermore, our muscles tend to cramp, especially in the shoulder and neck area - but by slight movements - moving - the entire muscle system is reactivated, relieves the intervertebral discs and you get a better diet. This allows the discs to inflate fully again.

Which areas of the back activated moving particularly well?

The ligamentous apparatus is a very rigid system, it has little elasticity, and if these little ligaments are not easily moved again and again, they quickly become stiff, sluggish and become more and more rigid. In addition, the small muscles of the spine, which are very important for our coordination, always have to get a stretch or relaxation impulse to stay intact. Moving, except for the nutrition of the intervertebral discs, is particularly effective for the fine musculature and the ligamentous apparatus, since the gentle, light movements activate them very well and thereby move the muscles and ligaments of the back, which are generally only slightly moved by conventional physiotherapy.

Why do you recommend moving?

Many people today are far too long in our time, which increases the amount of back problems in our society. moving is a simple and well-practicable way to relieve the spine in everyday life again and again and to do something in-house, in order to remain fit and flexible.

Dr. Veronika Wissert, Medical doctor at a large electronics company

Is moving used in your company?

We started moving here at the Munich site and first carried out a study at the University of Erlangen. Then we installed moving and it was the enthusiasm of the predominantly young people who work there, to feel. It was fun to see how the exercises were done over and over again. The study results clearly showed that the use of moving reduced the impact of back pain.

Miss Dr. Wissert, do you know, what's special about moving?

What's special about moving is that it's an easy way to keep moving throughout the day, and people who use moving are more aware of how easy they are to do something for their health. They think about how they can incorporate movement into their leisure time activities.
